Journal 1980-1996
I worked as a fine jeweler for over twenty years. When I moved to New York I set a goal of working with companies that fabricated high end eighteen karat and platinum jewelry. I knew these shops worked with better materials and employed highly skilled craftsmen to work side by side. This training is the foundation of my design and engineering skills which I apply to the digital design process.
These images are pages from a notebook I kept from 1980-1996. It is not a timeline and has gaps in the record, but it documents fabrication techniques, mechanisms and process during the years working in fine shops.
